D15 - The Namibia Project: A Basel Statement hospital pharmacy practice survey of hospitals

Conference Hall A - Section A

Organised by FIP’s Hospital Pharmacy Section

Marianne Ivey (FIP Hospital Pharmacy Section, USA)

The Basel Statements, which are aspirational standards of hospital pharmacy practice, were developed by FIP’s Hospital Pharmacy Section. Several countries have used the statements to survey their current practices with the purpose of identifying areas for improvement. The presentation will describe the results of a survey involving twenty-four hospitals in Namibia, sponsored by the Hospital Pharmacy Section and carried out in the summer of 2018.

Speakers: Dan Kibuule (University of Namibia, Namibia) and Marianne Ivey (FIP Hospital Pharmacy Section, USA)
