A7 - The future of the pharmacy – Education and research

Conference Hall A - Section B & C

Organised by the FIP SIG on Pharmacy Practice Research, in collaboration with FIPs’ Academic Pharmacy Section and the YPG

Chairs

Charlotte Rossing (Danish College of Pharmacy Practice, Denmark) and AbdiKarim Abdi (Near East University, Turkey)

Introduction

Evidence-based research is the only possible approach in conducting pharmacy practice research, explaining how to improve research capacity in the future. In many pharmacy schools and universities, however, this is not taught systematically. This session will address how schools should implement evidence-based research in their curricula and how the development of courses should be designed.

Many new PhD candidates are struggling with how to design and construct their research. This workshop will give them an opportunity to network and share knowledge — to qualify their work within research. A workshop will discuss the questions: Once findings are there, what should we do with them? How can we use findings to empower the change? How can we use them
