Introduction

IFPMA

Influenza, both seasonal and pandemic, is a major burden on public health causing up to 650,000 deaths annually1. Vaccination is the most effective measure at preventing influenza and its severe outcomes.

Seasonal influenza vaccination can support pandemic preparedness and response infrastructure while providing long-term the sustainable manufacturing facilities and skilled workforce required. Join us at the IFPMA IVS led interactive workshop designed to introduce the key phases of seasonal and pandemic influenza vaccine supply to help pharmacists understand the complexity and critical aspects required to provide global health protection to this deadly pathogen. We will dive into discussions on the public health importance of influenza vaccination, the role pharmacists play and challenges they may or do face when vaccinating against influenza.
